I attended this exhibition a week ago and had a discussion group with the artist
He is very charismatic in the way he speaks about his work, it’s just inspiring when an artist is very comfortable and confident and articulate in the way he/she talks about his/her work
His work is interesting, as it mix between reality and illusion where you don’t know if what’s captured on the wall is real or not. He spend a lot of time trying to explore how we make sense of history and how we represent it. His Exhibitin is a performance where he takes you around his work with a story that gets you standing on you toes “intense”
Unfortunate I haven’t had the chance to attend the performance but I did see the work and found this article that covers it with q&a
If you got the chance, go see it!
